Moving to Indian Spring
Location Guide: Moving to Indian Spring
Indian Spring is nestled in the Four Corners neighborhood of Silver Spring, MD next to the Woodmoor neighborhood. This quaint community is bordered by the Capital Beltway to the south, University Boulevard to the west, St. Lawrence Drive to the north, and the Northwest Branch Anacostia River to the east. This little slice of Silver Spring contains about 800 Colonial-style single-family homes and is served by the Indian Spring Citizens Association (ISCA), which is located in Montgomery County, MD. The Indian Spring Citizens Association puts on events like neighborhood-wide street parties, yard sales, Fallfests, Holiday Tree lightings, and more.
One of the main advantages of living in Indian Spring is access to an excellent school system. Montgomery County schools are consistently ranked as some of the best in the nation, and living in this charming community lends access to this excellent school system. Children of Indian Spring attend school at Highland View Elementary School, Silver Spring International Middle School, and Northwood High School. Another added advantage is access to the DCC (Downcounty Consortium) which allows students to choose a high school (space-permitting) that aligns with their preferred academic area of study. These choices include Montgomery Blair, Albert Einstein, John F. Kennedy, Northwood, and Wheaton.
