GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY

We believe in the power of strong communities. We live and work in the DC Metro area and we owe a debt of gratitude to the neighborhoods and communities who have made our success possible. Therefore, we contribute to a variety of local charities and schools that seek to educate and foster healthier, more stable, and more prosperous residents.

 

In 2018, we contributed our time and more than $15,000 to organizations that included:

SPECIAL CAUSES

  • Greg Gannon Canned Food Drive

    Serving the hungry so as to lessen the food deficit in the DC metropolitan region. 

  • Colleen biliary atresia

    Colleen's Biliary Atresia 5K

    A local Kensington, MD charity that fundraises in an effort to discover the cause of biliary atresia.

  • A Wider Circle

    A Silver Spring charity providing life's essentials to families transitioning out of homelessness.

  • Heroes

    Supporting our fallen heroes in the Washington, DC metropolitan area who have died in the line of duty. 

  • Military Order of the Purple Heart

    The hallmark of The Purple Heart is its programs that improve the lives of veterans and their families.

  • Research Down Syndrome

    NDSS is the leading human rights organization for all individuals with Down Syndrome.

  • New Endeavors by Women

    This local DC charity provides a nurturing environment so that women can recognize their worth. 

  • Shepherd's Table

    Provide help to people who are homeless or in need by providing basic services - food, clothing, shelter.

  • Second Chance Wildlife Center

    Located in Gaithersburg, MD, Second Chance Wildlife looks after and treats about 3,000 animals per year.

  • Silver Spring Thunderbolts

    As Thunderbolt volunteers we help we help with fund raising campaigns and game day programs.

  • Saint Ann's

    Empowering women and children to become self-sufficient and engaged members of the community.

  • St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital

    A children's hospital, treating childhood cancers and pediatric diseases. 

  • Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 

    Fighting against type 1 diabetes (T1D)

  • Go Green Day

    Reduce, Reuse and Recycle at our biannual event at Silver Spring's Argyle Park.

  • Cardinal 5K

    Holy Redeemer in Kensington MD is a 5KM race that supports their school children.

    Community Foundation for Northern Virginia is committed to building a community that's for everyone.

  • Kensington 8K

    A true community race. The Kensington 8K Race has been a favorite DC area fall race for 25 years.

  • Montgomery Parks Foundation

    Providing fundraising and support to Montgomery Parks including Wheaton's Brookside Gardens.

  • Noyes Children’s Library

    ​Programs at Noyes Children's Library serve children of all ages, from infants to school kids.

  • Riderwood Retirement

    Riderwood Retirement Community positively support the health and wellbeing of our local seniors.

  • Sligo Creek Park Golf Classic

    Golfers, environmentalists, and neighbors maintaining Sligo Creek Golf Course as a community asset.
