Updated: Sep 6, 2019
Flower Valley is a gorgeous neighborhood located in the northern part of Rockville, Maryland in Montgomery County. One of the best places to live in Rockville, this lush, tree-lined neighborhood was originally established in 1966 and continued development into the early 1970s. Homes in Flower Valley range in styles and price ranges, but typically sit on half-acre lots with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Nestled on the edge of Rockville, Flower Valley is wonderfully located just minutes from the ICC and Downtown Rockville, and only a short drive to Bethesda and Washington, DC. Or, if looking to take public transportation, residents of Flower Valley can hop on the red line at either Glenmont or Rockville, depending on the destination in DC.
Not only do many of the homes have luscious, green lawns, but they are also nearby many lovely local parks. One such park is the Flower Valley Park, which is a 17-acre park featuring a multi-use ball field, a shaded playground, tennis courts, and a covered picnic shelter. Alongside the park there is a scenic stream that joins Rock Creek in nearby Rock Creek Regional Park. The Flower Valley Bath & Racquet Club is also a local neighborhood hotspot where members can swim and play tennis and socialize with fellow Flower Valley neighbors. It's no wonder that homes for sale in Flower Valley are few and far between.
Residents of Flower Valley enjoy living in a close-knit community. Active members of the community belong to the Flower Valley Citizens’ Association, which sponsors a neighborhood July 4th parade and organizes other events like neighborhood ice cream socials and a fall festival. Even if not part of the Flower Valley Citizens’ Association, residents of Flower Valley enjoy friendly neighbors who stop to chat, organize play dates with neighborhood children, and otherwise contribute to a sense of community.
Children of Flower Valley have the opportunity to go to Montgomery County Public Schools, which are ranked as some of the best schools in the nation. Flower Valley children attend Flower Valley Elementary School, Earle B. Wood Middle School, and Rockville High School.
